Vikram to team up with Ameer

With more than 70 percent of his portions for ‘Raavana’ being completed, Vikram has finally started looking up at his other projects. It is now confirmed that the actor will next take on a project with director Vikram K Kumar, following which he will do a movie for Ameer.

Vikram K Kumar was the director who struck gold with his recent flick, ‘Yaavarum Nalam’. The film is a supernatural thriller and was a hit both in Hindi and Tamil. The director is now said to be working on his next script, for which Vikram plays the protagonist. This film is said to be produced by Mohan Natrajan.

Apart from this, the actor has revealed that he will be doing a project with Ameer as well. With director Ameer having almost completed his ‘Yogi’, it is expected for him to take up this film next. Meanwhile, there is also a project with Selva Raghavan lined up, but this project is expected to begin later next year, after Vikram has a couple of quick releases.

Selvaraghavan teams up with Rehman?

Director Selvaraghavan says there is nothing wrong in his relationship with music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. On the other hand, Yuvan says that they have 'developed' some misunderstandings and that they are no more together. Yuvan has already opted out of 'Aayirathil Oruvan', which has been in the making by Selvaraghavan for more than the past couple of years.

Yuvan also said recently that reconciliation between appeared a far-away reality. Meanwhile, it is reliably learnt that Selvaraghavan has decided to join hands with A.R. Rehman to compose music in his films from now onwards. Selvaraghavan has been booked by U TV to direct their debut film, for which Rehman has also been signed reportedly for a hitherto unheard of fee.

In their happy days, Yuvan and Selvaa used to go to Bangkok to compose the songs for their films. With A.R. Rehman, Selva has to learn other ways of getting the tunes. He has reportedly narrated the story to the music wizard and has to get back to him only when he is informed by Rehman after the songs are composed and kept ready.

Soundarya-Aishwarya: Super Duo

Another couple of star offspring to enter filmdom, albeit behind the camera, are none other than the Superstar’s daughters.

Soundarya Rajinikanth, his second daughter is working on her 3D animation movie Sultan -The Warrior, produced by her very own Ocher Studios.

And now Aishwarya, Dhanush’s wife, Rajinikanth’s first child, is starting off as assistant director to Selvaraghavan, who is directing Ayirathil Oruvan, starring Karthik (Suriya’s brother of Paruthi Veeran fame).

Just in case you forgot, Selvaraghavan is Aishwarya's brother-in-law, as he is Dhanush’s brother. In fact, it’s only from the second schedule of Ayirathil Oruvan that Aishwarya had joined as Selva's assistant. Previously it was the director’s wife, Sonia Agarwal, who was assisting him.

As they say, it’s all in the family.
