Rajini back home… Shankar dismisses assistants

After the hectic shooting schedule, the Endhiran team is returning to India. In fact the superstar Rajinikanth had already reached Chennai on 27th September while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expected to join her hubby Abhishek Bachchan right on time for Drona's premiere. Industry sources have it that director Shankar completed the first leg of
Rajinikanth
shooting to accommodate Ash's request to be with Abhi to attend Drona's premiere.

Meanwhile, Shankar has dismissed three of his assistants for leaking the well-guarded Endhiran stills to the media. He has also appointed a nine-member crew to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

Enthiran: Aishwarya Bachchan on call for 200 days

Director Shankar’s magnum opus, Enthiran, formerly called Robot, has been in the news ever since its announcement. The unit has flown to the Americas for the first schedule of shooting.
Pulling out all stops to make this a great movie, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been taken as the heroine for a remuneration of Rs. 6 crores! For this breathtaking sum, (a figure which even most South Indian heroes are yet to achieve) the green-eyed beauty’s call-sheet has been commandeered for almost a year, 200 days to be precise. She has been so busy with this project that her absence at the music launch of Drona, starring hubby Abhishek Bachchan, was conspicuous.
In fact, she has not even been able to spend time with her ailing father as the cast and crew of Enthiram was busy hoping from South America to North America on a whirlwind shooting schedule. A couple of important scenes plus two mind-blowing songs were shot among the picturesque beauty of the grand old Mayan ruins at Machu Pichu.
Enthiram also has the proud distinction of getting Rajni to gain 5 kgs for his role as a lovestruck robot. This truly epic production has 25 assistant directors, including Soundarya Rajinikanth.
Just recently, the stills of Rajinikanth and Ash cavorting among the ruins of Machu Pichu, have surfaced on the web.

Aamir Khan avoids Imran Khan!

With his first solo release JAANE TU... YA JAANE NA hitting the Bull's eye straight away, success has gone to Imran Khan's head and as a result his uncle Aamir Khan is avoiding him.....!!! Well, if that's what you are thinking, you are totally wrong. Aamir Khan and nephew Imran Khan are as close to each other as they were before the success of their film.

Coming back to what brought you here. Well, Imran Khan's next film, KIDNAP (with Sanjay Dutt), is scheduled to release on 2nd October, the same date on which Aamir Khan's GHAJINI was slated to have hit the screens. However, the latest development is that Indian Films Company, which holds the rights of both GHAJINI and KIDNAP have now decided to postpone GHAJINI to 28th November. While the official reason is that the distributor did not want to release two projects on the same day, grapevine has it that the postponement has been done at Aamir's behest, in order to give an open field to Imran Khan's second release after JTYJN, KIDNAP.

Despite the postponement of GHAJINI, the Eid-Gandhi Jayanti (October 2nd) line up looks quite interesting with Abhishek Bachchan's DRONA and Salman Khan's WANTED taking on Sanjay Dutt & Imran Khan's KIDNAP!
