AR Rahman is all set to record with British girl band FE-NIX later this year.

The multi-million selling composer, who has won countless awards for his work on
Slumdog Millionaire and Lord Of The Rings, is currently riding high in the charts with 'Jai Ho', a collaboration with The Pussycat Dolls. He reckons that Fe-Nix are Britain's answer to Nicole and co.

Record executives plan to break the girls into the Asian market as well as the UK, and news of AR's collaboration is sure to create a huge buzz across the globe.

He has already given the Pussycat Dolls one of their biggest hits to date. A spokesman for Fe-Nix added, "The girls are thrilled - they are all huge fans of his work."

"They already have endorsements with Apple Bottom Jeans and Lipsy, before their first single has even been released! We're confident they are going to be Britain's biggest breakthrough act of 2009."

AR Rahman joins legend Michael Jackson in support of Fe-Nix - the King Of Pop sent the girls a bouquet of flowers last month.

Fe-Nix release their debut single 'Lady Baby' on May 4th. The track has already hit number 1 in the club charts with spins on Radio 1, Capital and Choice.

A.R. Rahman and Mick Jagger team up

A.R. Rahman is planning to meet up with The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger during his visit to the US, according to reports.
Rahman agreed to get in the studio with the Grammy Award-winning artist after the duo first met at the Oscars last month.
A source close to the musician told The Times of India: "When Rahman met Jagger, they discovered that they could do some good music together. It was then that they decided that A.R. Rahman would visit the US again and they would have another jamming session."
The latest collaboration comes on the back of the Bollywood composer's teaming up with The Pussycat Dolls for an English remix of his Oscar-winning hit 'Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)'.
Rahman began producing the score to Abbas Tyrewala's 1-800-Love last week during a brief visit to Mumbai.

Rahman makes it to Billboard Hot 100 singles

When the Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman [Images], took home two Oscars [Images] at last month's 81st Academy Awards ceremony, it put an exclamation point on an exceptionally successful Hollywood awards season for India's favourite composer.
Amid the shower of awards and accolades, a clear verdict emerged: Tinsel Town has ackowledged and accepted Rahman's prodigious musical talents. In short, they understand why Rahman's name is magical for a billion-odd Indians.
But what about the common American? What does he know of Mr Rahman?
Quite a bit, actually.
In fact, Rahman has become the first Indian -- and by Indian, we mean born in India, raised in India and based in India -- to make it to the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
Yep, that's right: The release of the Pussycat Dolls version of his Oscar-winning song Jai Ho has quickly moved the single from number 100 to number 15 on the charts, with no sign of slowing [sales of both the original version of the song and the PCD's version are being combined by Billboard].
Of course, his current status as 'The Next Big Thing in Music' has made Rahman one of Hollywood's most wanted men. He andSlumdog Millionaire [Images] director Danny Bolye are reportedly being flooded with offers to collaborate again on celluloid.
And of all such rumours, there's none more juicy than this: Speculation in some insider circles has it that Boyle was recently asked to direct the 23rd James Bond [Images] film. And, given the tremendous success of Slumdog's soundtrack, it only makes sense to see Rahman and Boyle as part of the same package.
Wouldn't that be something?
Jai ho!

Pussycat Dolls to dance to A R Rahman’s 'Jai Ho'

A R Rahman After creating ripples in Hollywood, A R Rahman is gearing up to do a remix song for the all-girl American pop group Pussycat Dolls.

The Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee, A R Rahman is the only Indian film musician to reach mammoth heights in international circuit. He is now going to remix-recreate his song ‘Jai Ho’ from Slumdog Millionaire sung by Sukhwinder Singh for a music video track by Pussycat Dolls.

This collaboration is being brought about by Rahman’s tie-up with American music producer Jimmy Lovine.

The Pussycat Dolls, a group of six fantastic, sexy females got their first success with their album PCD in 2005 and got Grammy nomination for their song 'Stickwitu'. The band comprises of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt and Carmit Bachcr.

According to reports, the remix track of ‘Jai Ho’ is being produced by American singer and record maker Palow Da Don who has done albums with international artists like Will Smith, Fergie, Rich Boy and Usher.

The interest in ‘Jai Ho’ is sparked by its unique beat and melody which gives it the feel of a dance anthem.

Pussycat Dolls is a band famous for its steamy, sexy image, but Rahman seems to have no inhibition working with them.
