Himesh Reshammiya once said that if he ever had to sing for a composer besides himself, it would only be A.R. Rahman. Interestingly enough, Rahman is also keen to have Himesh sing a certain composition that he feels Himesh would suit very well. He also admits that the song is for a very big actor and a big budget film.
However, in an interesting turn of events, Himesh has politely refused this offer because the song is not for one of the films he stars in. Himesh's new policy is that he only composes and sings for films that he acts in as well.
"I am a great fan of AR Rahman and his music. It’s a great honour for me to sing his composition, but as a policy decision, I only sing for myself onscreen. I don’t sing for any outside banner. I would instead request Rahman saab to give music for one of my films where I am the actor and singer. In fact, if he agrees, it will be a dream come true," he told Mumbai Mirror.
Whether Rahman will agree or not remains to be seen.

Sukhwinder's Stellar Dreams
It seems that Himesh Reshammiya has been inspiring a lot of people. The manner in which Himesh managed to turn himself into an actor from a singer cum composer is now inspiring none other than singer composer Sukhwinder Singh.
The singer is apparently very serious about making his debut as an actor. In fact, he is believed to be in talks with a producer, who will be launching him as the leading man. The search is on for a fresh young female face, who will be cast as Sukhwinder''s romantic interest in the movie.
The singer, who is known to be very close to AR Rahman, is believed to have requested the music maestro to compose the music for his debut film. The full details of project have not yet been made public so the name of the director is still a mystery.
According to sources, Sukhwinder is so inspired by Himesh that the story of his film is supposed to be based on the theme of reincarnation, which is what Himesh's next film, Karzzzz is about.
Sukhwinder is getting camera friendly and working out for the role as well. He is currently a judge on one of the musical reality shows being aired on television.
This is the first time that he is playing judge, and one can understand that one of his motivations for doing so is also the fact that he is trying to get familiar with the medium. We are sure that Himesh will be delighted to have some company.

Costly selection mistake that Kamal made!

It took five years of hard work, sweat and dedication to make a movie, which is bound to make every Indian proud, and take tamil cinema to a different horizon. Sadly though, the musical score sounds as if it has been done in a jiffy. There has been no thought process that has gone into the songs. When a music director gets an opportunity for such a film, he must buckle up and give a album that is never heard so far.
Ilayaraja elevates himself and his music for people like Mani Ratnam and Bharathiraja; Rehman does miraculous music for Mani Ratnam and Shankar. The crux is that when a larger than life director gives you a chance to compose music for his film you give music that is larger than life too. But Himesh, sadly though, remains the same old Himesh giving tunes that are not any different than the tunes he composes for the many low profile Hindi film, which stars people like Emran Hashmi. The songs are heavily inspired or rather borrowed from the many A.R. Rehman classics and the only original tune Oh… Oh… Sanam fails to impress. The orchestration instrumentation and the sound quality are amateurish. We are left wondering how such a great thinker like Kamal, who chose all this resources for the film in a proper way, got the wrong idea of choosing Himesh for the songs part. When here in south there is such raw talent, it was fate that it had to go to someone in the north and that too to some one who did not deserve it. I hope that we can get to hear better music from someone with a richer talent for Kamal`s next magnum opus

Will Himesh take on Aamir's Ghajini?
Last year, Himesh Reshammiya's acting debut Aap Kaa Surroor was released alongside Apne and Awarapan. Reportedly, Himesh's second release, Karzzzz, is expected to hit the screens this October and if rumour mills are to be believed, in the same week as the Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini. That's the speculation within the industry.
However, Karzzzz producer Bhushan Kumar denies the rumor outright. "We are planning to announce the release date sometime next week. But Karzzzz won't clash with Ghajini for sure. The audio rights of Ghajini are also with us and we wouldn't want two of our films to clash on the same date," he states.
Meanwhile, October 2 is being eyed by a few more film-makers, so let's see who eventually makes it on that date.
