Can Narahashi be a cue for Mohanlal?

That Mohanlal will be doing a Malayalam and Japanese bilingual film with Jackie Chan has been in the news for a while. Now, the pre-production activities of the movie have picked up speed and Mohanlal will be leaving for Japan soon to meet with Jackie Chan. The movie, titled Nair San, is based on the life of Madhavan Nair who was behind many

rebel movements in Japan in support of the Indian freedom struggle. He used to carry out guerrilla attacks on the British.

The movie will be directed by Albert and A.R. Rahman has tentatively agreed to compose the music for the film. Other details are being worked out. Meanwhile, Mohanlal recently said that the movie will be launched soon. He has given bulk dates of around 150 days for the movie, among the largest that he has allotted for any movie in his career. When asked whether Jackie Chan was in the movie just to add to its star value, Mohanlal said that Jackie Chan played a very key character in the movie and that he was also well known in Japan and around the world only helped matters. He also added that speaking Japanese is a challenging task for anyone. When it comes from a man who has won two national awards, a president’s special recognition and a Padmashree, we know it will be really tough. Maybe he could take a cue or two from Shinghen Narahashi.
