Ghajini's starlet turns nightmare for London Dreams

Ghajini-fame actress Asin has now become a nuisance on the sets of her forthcoming movie London Dreams. Apparently she is throwing several starry tantrums on the sets of London Dreamsthat several makeup artists and designers quit the project.

An insider source reveals that Director Vipul Shah had first appointed hairstylist and makeup man Manzoor Khan, but Asin had problems with the latter. Then it was designer Niharika Khan who had trouble and eventually she too quit the movie. After Niharika, the few other designers who came, refused to work with the actress. Finally the actress ordered some outfits from Chennai after which Ashley Rebello was appointed.

To add to the director's woes, Asin even began her interference in direction too. She started telling the assistant directors which shot to retain and which to delete.

Makeup man Manzoor Khan complained that it took the actress two days to decide on her look for the film. Apparently, whenever Manzoor would do the makeup, she would wash it off and put on some garish makeup. For instance, she kept giving instructions to Manzoor about how the makeup should be done.

First Look: Salman paints Aamir

Salman Khan is promoting Aamir Khan's  Ghajini in a big way. After he watched the film at a private screening in Mukesh Ambani's residence, he said he loved it, and that Ghajini  was sure to be a big hit. But just that did not seem enough. So Salman painted Aamir's look in the film on canvas! Aamir's Ghajini co-star Asin  unveiled the painting at Mumbai's  Inox theatre on December 23. Incidentally, Asin will star in Salman's next, London  Dreams, directed by Vipul Shah. The film also stars Ajay Devgan .

Asin not in 'Marma Yogi'

Denying all the speculations which were saying that Asin would once again share the screen with Kamal Haasan for a cameo role in 'Marma Yogi', the actress has now confirmed that there is no fact in it. The talented actress who has reached incredible heights in her career co-stars with Salman khan and Ajay Devgan in 'London Dreams' and she has been back to Mumbai recently after completing the shoot for the film for 45 days in London and Paris. Asin's next venture includes 'The 19th step', produced by Walt Disney, which would have Kamal Haasan and acclaimed Japanese actor Tadanobu. This multi-lingual film which is to be made in Tamil, English and Japanese will be directed by Bharat Bala who has made hundreds of classic commercials and also has directed acclaimed music videos including 'Vande Mataram' and 'Pray for me brother' of Maestro A.R.Rahman. 'The 19th step' will be the first Indian film on martial arts; it speaks about 'Kalaripayattu', which is claimed to be the source of all Oriental martial art forms. And what is foremost interesting is Asin plays the role of a Japanese princess that can even turn other actresses green with envy. Asin is sure going places!

GHAJINI actress going great guns!

Prominent Tamil actress Asin is going great guns. The day she was signed opposite Aamir Khan in the hindi remake of GHAJINI, Bollywood welcomed her with open arms. And today she is flooded with big offers.

According to the latest buzz the south superstar Asin is in talks with Vipul Shah regarding the upcoming film LONDON DREAMS starring Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. Infact Asin got so excited about this project that she went ahead to do a photo-shoot for the film. On the other hand she has bagged a plum role in yet another esteemed project to be directed by Priyadarshan opposite Akshay Kumar. This Akshay Kumar starrer film will be produced by Venus.


Rumors have it that Asin is also being considered to be caste opposite Shahid Kapoor and Big B in one film each.

Meanwhile the pretty actress is busy with the shooting of GHAJINI.

Salman and Ajay in 'London Dreams'

Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is set to begin production of the grand musical "London Dreams" this year and the real surprise of the project is Salman Khan.

Santoshi said: "'London Dreams' will come in the middle of the year. So I wouldn't like to say much about it right now. But yes, Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan have been signed for it. And A.R. Rahman will do the music."

Ajay is of course is widely considered Santoshi's resident hero.

But some years ago, Santoshi and Salman had teamed up for the comedy "Andaz Apna Apna".


Salman, currently on a signing spree, has agreed to work in new films to be made by Nikhil Advani and Samir Karnik, among others.

"London Dreams" is unlike any film Santoshi has made before.

Moving away from the gut-wrenching trademark action of his films like "Ghayal" and "Lajja", the new movie is based in London and will delineate the life and times of those associated with the Asian underground music scene.

It will chart the rise and fall of an Indi-Rock band, with A.R. Rahman providing the global sounds for this unorthodox Bollywood musical.

The film could be Santoshi's most expensive film to date, as it will try to replicate the flamboyance of Baz Luhrmann's "Moulin Rouge".
