Gautham eases pace: bearded Silambarasan uneasy

Vinnai Thaandi VaruvaayaVinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya, which started with a bang and was reportedly going on at a great pace, has seen a sudden slackening in proceedings. The reason reportedly is that director Gautham Menon doesn’t seem too keen on getting on with it at the same pace as the initial stages.
Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya is not being made in Tamil alone, it is also being reportedly planned in Telugu with Mahesh Babu in the lead. However, Mahesh Babu’s dates are not available for at least a couple of months and there is no way that the Telugu version can begin until his dates are confirmed.
With the same story, Gautham wants the two films to be completed and released simultaneously. He seems to think that any one of them releasing earlier would affect the chances of the latter, especially if the box office results were not favorable. Added to this is the fact that he also plans to use Rahman’s tunes for the Telugu version too. With the kind of reach that Rahman’s music has, any one album releasing ahead of the other will rob all the novelty off the one following it. So, weighing his options, Gautham seems to have decided that Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya need not sprint to completion as earlier planned.
This seems fine with everyone except Silambarasan. He has acted in two get ups in VTV, one of which has a full grown beard. With film’s shooting not moving as expected, he has been left with his beard in place, unable to take part in any other shooting.

Gautham & Rahman - One more!

While Harris has gone on records about his rift with Gautham Menon and announced about his split with the director, the latter remained tightlipped about the whole issue. Soon enough, as if to acknowledge the split officially, Gautham has recently struck a deal with A R Rahman for his Telugu venture produced by the UTV Motion Pictures
Gautham Menon
with Mahesh Babu in the lead. Kollywood sources predict that Gautham’s association with Rahman will continue in his future projects too. Rahman is also scoring for Gautham’s Chennayil Oru Mazhaikaalam, which is reportedly 60 per cent complete. It is to be noted that the recently released Vaaranam Aayiram has blockbuster music scored by Harris.

AR Rahman tunes for Mahesh's movie

AR Rahman scored his first for Mahesh in the movie 'Nani'.  Mahesh Babu and Ameesha Patel played the lead cast. The movie was directed by SJ Surya.
Being SJ Suryah's favorite songster, Rahman is once again composing music for Pawan Kalyan's 'Puli' directed by Suryah. Once it is done, the music director is going to carry on orchestrating for Tollywood with Mahesh Babu's next to be directed by Gautham Menon.
The team usually comprised of Harris Jayaraj and Gautham Menon since a long time, but due to an estranged relationship between them, the duo has split-up. After parting ways with 'Surya s/o Krishna' being their last, Harris moved out and Rahman stepped into the project.

Can he deliver a hit for Mahesh this time?

Mahesh’s film with Warner Bros. is getting hotter even before the film entered the script stage.

This trilingual will go to floors next year; meanwhile Mahesh will complete his current assignment with Trivikram.

Latest buzz on Mahesh’s film with Warner Bros. is that AR Rahman might score music for this film. Rahman scored music for Mahesh’s Nani earlier but failed to impress. Nani music and film too had flopped big time. If Rahman is roped in for this film we have wait and see if he can deliver a hit for him this time.

Soundarya Rajinikanth's multilingual film with Mahesh Babu

Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher studio started its production campaign in style with the costly project 'Sultan The Warrior' which is the first of its kind of an animation feature film featuring a fully 3D animated version of an Indian film superstar.

The film has the potential to start a trend.

Then there was the news of Soundarya taking a keen interest in making the second part of the blockbuster film 'Billa'.

Rajinikanth's daughter seems to follow the corporate way of making movies by planning for more than one film and simultaneously announcing and starting the work on the different projects at the same time.

A new big project to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi will be made with the Tollywood hero Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

The super hit director Puri Jagannath will be the director in charge of the new mega project of Soundarya Rajinikanth.

However the movie's work will start only next April with December 2009 being planned as the time for the release.

The film's story, dialogues and Screenplay will be written by the director himself and is a joint venture between Ocher studios and Warner Brothers.

Puri Jagannath told that he was overjoyed when Soundarya approached him to direct the big film as it brought back the memories of the day when Rajinikanth himself told that if he ever had a son he would have surely launched him as a hero in a film directed by him.

After giving two blockbusters in the form of 'Athadu' and 'Pokiri', Mahesh Babu teams up with Puri Jagannath again for this new film.

The Telugu pin up boy told that he is very happy to work again with Puri Jagannath and will try to reach up to people's expectations.

Although a new addition to the list of players in the production business, Ocher studios has set its sights on transforming itself into one among the top most film business houses in India with carefully deciding on each new project with proven experienced film makers at the helm.
