Silambarasan evades

Although there are still final touches pending for his Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya, the multitasking Silambarasan has gotten around writing script for his next movie Vaaliban. As it seems, he is now indulged in developing the basic plot and the script.
As a result, he is also conspicuous with his absence in the film events including promos, audio releases and premieres. Vaaliban will also be directed by him.

Telugu super star insists on Gautham Menon

After making his debut in Josh, Telugu star Naga Chaitanya, son of popular actor Nagarjuna, is ready to don the greasepaint for the Telugu remake of Vinnathandi Varuvaya. Apparently, Chaithanya’s father is confident of Gautham Menon’s directorial skills so much so that he insists on having his son star in the remake even before the film hits the screens.

Given Gautham’s record, Nagarjuna’s calculation can never go wrong, one can presume. Vinnathandi Varuvaya is a breezy romantic story that is sure to attract the younger audience and hence Nagarjuna feels that it would be better for his son’s career.

Silambarasan will make you weep!

Shooting of the romantically titled film 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' staring Silambarasan and Trisha is almost over. It’s said that Silambarasan will be enacting the role of an assistant director in this romantic entertainer. We would like to spill the beans about the movie’s script now!
Sources close to the director Goutham Menon has revealed that the script of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' has shades from a famous novel ‘Karaindha Nizhalgal’ by well-known modern literature writer Ashokamithran. The short novel depicts the life-style and suffering of people in the cine industry. It not only talks about the few people who have tasted the success in film, but many other technicians and co-actors’ pathetic lifestyle. This novel talks about many characters and Goutham Menon has pick one such character for 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya', that is of an assistant director.
It’s also said that the director has blended a touching love story with the original character and has come up with a soft character for Silambarasan. According to the script Silambarasan faces many shameful moments and the insults he faces will make people weep for him. This film has a bright chance of pulling down the bad-boy image of Silambarasan!
Hmmm… Now that’s something moving!

Gowtham Menon thrown out of Ajith's film

It was all termed to be a rumuor until Gowtham Menon himself confirmed about directing Vijay’s film. Director Gowtham Menon laid his hand on ‘resurgence of Tamil cinema’ by making Hollywood-inclined led flicks.

Indeed, he drew more inspiration from Hollywood films Kaaka Kaaka, Vetaiyadu Vilayadu (inspired from Bone Collector), Pacchaikili Muthucharam (Derailed) and Vaaranam Aayiram (Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump).

Gowtham Menon was signed to direct Ajith Kumar’s film that is produced by Sivaji Productions. But as he failed to deliver the final draft of his script, the offer was withdrawn. At the moment, he is busy shooting for three projects simultaneously- Simbhu-Trisha starrer Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam and an untitled film featuring his manager and hottie Sameera Reddy in lead roles.

Amidst these busy schedules, Gowtham has confirmed that he will direct Vijay’s film very shortly and they’ve been discussing the script.

Silambarasan is not what you think

Media reports oflate suggested that Silambarasan’s role in Vinnaithandi Varuvaya is that of an assistant director. But we hear from sources close to the film unit that the actor plays a youth who is just out of college ready to take up a job. Trisha plays a young girl already in a stable job. With this the speculations about the roles that the lead pair plays is considerably clear.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya is said to be a breezy romance flick for which music has been scored by AR Rahman. Gautham Menon wields the megaphone for this entertainer.

Only few songs by ARR: Vinnaithandi Varuvaya?

Hoping to create an unseen charm Silambarasan and Trisha are gearing up to pair up again with, ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ after ‘Alai’. Directed by Goutham Menon the music scores of the movie is handled by the man who has been playing the tunes with great passion, over the years. As the title hints of the memorable romantic song, ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ will have the same music director of the ‘Minsara Kanavu’.
An interesting yet heartbreaking tale is spun regarding the music of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’. The musical maestro was supposed to compose five tracks altogether but, as his dairy is over flowing post Oscar; it is said that he has opted to stop with few songs. It is worthy to note that two songs have been composed already and the shooting for those two songs are done.
Now if it is the truth this would be a blow for the audio companies who have tied their confidence to the movie’s songs, assuming the songs would be composed by the great musician. But a source from our Musical Maestro has rubbished these rumors by saying that the re-recording of the movies is currently happening in Los Angeles.
Well people lets just wait and hope that our beloved composer recreates the magic.

Gautham eases pace: bearded Silambarasan uneasy

Vinnai Thaandi VaruvaayaVinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya, which started with a bang and was reportedly going on at a great pace, has seen a sudden slackening in proceedings. The reason reportedly is that director Gautham Menon doesn’t seem too keen on getting on with it at the same pace as the initial stages.
Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya is not being made in Tamil alone, it is also being reportedly planned in Telugu with Mahesh Babu in the lead. However, Mahesh Babu’s dates are not available for at least a couple of months and there is no way that the Telugu version can begin until his dates are confirmed.
With the same story, Gautham wants the two films to be completed and released simultaneously. He seems to think that any one of them releasing earlier would affect the chances of the latter, especially if the box office results were not favorable. Added to this is the fact that he also plans to use Rahman’s tunes for the Telugu version too. With the kind of reach that Rahman’s music has, any one album releasing ahead of the other will rob all the novelty off the one following it. So, weighing his options, Gautham seems to have decided that Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya need not sprint to completion as earlier planned.
This seems fine with everyone except Silambarasan. He has acted in two get ups in VTV, one of which has a full grown beard. With film’s shooting not moving as expected, he has been left with his beard in place, unable to take part in any other shooting.

Gautham’s covert parallel project

On track and on time, Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Vinnai Thaandi Varuvayo is 70% over according to the industry buzz. Touted to be a romantic tale, VTV has Silambarasan and Trisha playing the lead with Rahman’s score. The movie also signifies the end of Gautham’s relationship with Harris Jayaraj, after the latter went official about the split.

Surprisingly, Gautham is also said to be working on a parallel project, a thriller. The as-yet-untitled flick will have his assistant Karthik donning the lead role and Sameera Reddy in a pivotal character. This is speculated to be inspired by a Hollywood flick. Last heard, the cast and crew are flying to Spain for the shoot schedules.

Silambarasan’s “V” sentiment

Silambarasan’s next film after Vinnaithandi Varuvaya has been finalized. It is worth mentioning here that VV is being directed by Gautham Menon and has Trisha playing Silamabarasan’s arm candy. His next project is named Varusanadu and will be directed by debutant Pandian.

Sources close to Silambarasan says that Pandian had been requesting an appointment with the actor for quite some time to narrate the storyline When the.
Silambarasan
actor finally decided to give it a hearing, he found the story apt for him. Silambarasan immediately agreed to star in the project. Most probably, Varusanadu will be produced by Silambarasan’s home production. The cast and crew are being finalized.

Simbu desperate to please A R Rahman

Nowadays actor Simbu has been seen spending a lot of time at Oscar winner A R Rahman’s studio. The buzz is that he hopes to get a chance to sing a song or two in his upcoming Gautham Menon's Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaayaa. The highlight of the film will be, of course, the music by Rahman.

This will be Rahman's first film with Gautham to hit the stands after the director’s split with Harris Jayaraj.

Starring Simbu and Trisha in lead roles, the director has completed the first schedule in Chennai and will soon move to Kerala for some exotic outdoor locations. After this, the director will start shooting for the film in his favourite location — New York!

Work on Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya will most likely finish by May and will release in July. Though the film had started out as a low-budget quickie, it is bound to become bigger as time progresses.
