Bhagyaraj's second innings with ‘Puthiya Varpugal’

Actor Bhagyaraj has almost completed shooting for his next directorial venture 'Puthiya Varpugal'. Starring his son Santhanoo in the lead role, the movie went to floors a couple of months ago.

Santhanoo, who is eagerly, awaiting the release of his maiden venture 'Sakkarakatti', plays a happy-go-lucky-youngster in the movie.

Sources close to Bhagyaraj say, 'the movie's title is inspired by Bhagyaraj's yesteryear hit film. However it is not its remake.'

Major portions of the film have been shot and song sequences are yet to be canned. Dharan has scored the music.

'Santhanoo has played his part well and he hopefully emerges as a star to reckon with in future', they added.

Bhagyaraj's last directorial venture was 'Parijatham', which features Prithviraj and his daughter Saranya in the lead roles.
