AR Rahman out of Gautham Menon's NEP

Ace director Gautham Menon started off his trilingual movie Neethaane En Ponvasantham by claiming that Oscar Award winner AR Rahman will be composing the music. Indeed, the filmmaker promoted the musician’s name in the promotional materials of the film. However, now it seems like the music director's presence in the forthcoming movie is doubtful.

Grapevine has it that AR Rahman seems to have opted out due to his other commitments. The news has come as a surprise for many, as the makers ofNeethaane En Ponvasantham have openly claimed that he would be scoring the music. The question that has arose in the cine circle is that how would the movie bosses promote the musician’s name in the posters of the upcoming movie without signing Rahman.

Adding to that either the makers of Neethaane En Ponvasantham nor AR Rahman is ready to clarify their association in the multilingual film. The musical romantic film stars Jeeva in the Tamil version, Nani in Telugu, whereas Aditya Roy Kapoor in Hindi version. Samantha is playing the female lead in all three installments.
