Catch Rahman, Salman sing Yuvvraaj

Music has always played a powerful part in Subhash Ghai's films. Yuvvraaj is no different. And doing the honours is the brilliant A R Rahman.
We got Rahman to talk about the film's music, and sing as well -- don't miss the video! Salman Khan could not resist the songs too, and gave us the unplugged version of Dost.Katrina Kaif had her say about the music as well.
But first, over to Rahman:
You have worked with Subhash Ghai in most of his films.
I have been working with Mr Ghai for almost 10 years, from Taal days. We have always been in love with musicals. He came for the opening for my [Broadway showBombay Dreams in London and said that he wanted to do a full-fledged musical with the great dancers and live orchestra. I think his dream came true with Yuvvraaj.
I gave a Lord of the Rings CD to Mr Ghai, and he fell in love with it. He wanted his musical to be like that. There were about 400 people involved in each track of LOTR, and he said we would get those 400 people. So it started with that vision. Some of the tracks were as huge as that, others were simple.
How do you handle the pressure of making different music, especially in a Subhash Ghai film?
Pressure has always been there but if you let it get to you, you will land up doing wrong things. So we go with what our heart says.
Working as a team reduces the tension, especially with Gulzarsaab and Mr Ghai. It becomes easier.
What is new about the music of Yuvvraaj?
With Yuvvraaj, it is like taking a U-turn -- going back to orchestra and choir that you don't get to hear these days. Most of the music is beat-oriented and the industry thinks that that is what we want. I think it is a very bold step by Mr Ghai to do what we like and give people what we want them to like.
How well do you relate with the tag-line of the film: Music binds love?
Music always binds love. It affects people's lives. It's the best thing about me coming into music. If I hadn't got into music and had been a bank manager, I wouldn't have got the joy of entertaining people or changing their lives. I'm greatful to God for that.
Do you like the response the music is getting?
I did not expect the music to be out this early. I thought they would take months to launch the music. But T-Series has done a great job in promoting the music. So it is a blessing for all of us -- Mr Ghai, Gulzarsaab, me and the whole team.
Taal had larger than life music as well.
Taal had more ethnic and electronic stuff, Yuvvraaj is more classical. I wont call it pure classical but it has traces of acoustic and orchestral instruments.
You have had five hit albums this year. Where do you get your inspiration from?
Most of them were done in the last two of years. [Music forJaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na was done two years ago, Jodhaa Akbar was done last year... we started with Yuvvraaj last year. God has been very kind to me by giving me 5 superhits this year.
What is music, according to you?
When I started off, I wasn't interested in music. I realised the power of music when I started composing at the age of 18. I knew then that music could have your own expression and your own voice. It led me to spiritualism and that keeps me going.
Can you give some tips to aspiring musicians?
All they need to do is take a flight to Chennai and join my school for music.

Katrina is a part of an orchestra in the film, and plays the cello. And the beautiful actress knows how important music is to Hindi cinema.
Watch the video to hear what Katrina has to say about the music, and don't miss her favourite song, Muskura.

Ask Salman Khan about the music of Yuvvraaj and he says, "It's wonderful. I am very excited about the film and I hope it does well."
The actor seems to be quite excited about his new film. He gives us an unplugged version of Dost -- check out the video.

A.R. Rahman to help Delhi improve voter turnout

The electoral office in the national capital is trying to rope in playback singer A.R. Rahman to educate people about the benefits of elections and improve voter turnout for the Nov 29 assembly election.“Rahman has already given us permission to use one of his compositions for our awareness campaign. Now we are trying to rope him in personally to campaign for us and tell people to come out and vote,” said Satbir Silas Bedi, chief electoral officer of Delhi.
“We have written to him about this and expect a reply very soon,” Bedi told IANS.
The electoral office is using one of Rahman’s compositions, “Pappu can’t dance…” from the Bollywood movie “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” for creating TV, radio and print adds to encourage voters to cast their ballots.
The campaign aims at creating awareness among 12 different segments of people who generally don’t vote.
“We want to create a sense of shame among people but tell this in a humorous way. Bollywood songs are a great means to reach the masses and in particular the youngsters.
“As a sequel to the awareness campaigns, we will hold few programmes with Mr. Rahman as the key attraction,” she said.
Bedi, however, clarified that the electoral office has made it clear to the singer that he will not get any remuneration for this.
“We cannot pay anything. We expect him to do this as a national responsibility. But lets see if he has time for this,” she added.
The voter turnout has been dwindling in Delhi over a period of time. While the 2002 assembly election saw little less than 50 percent turn out, the civic election last year saw 43 percent turn out.
There are 10.7 million eligible voters in the capital.

'Yuvraaj' can create or destroy

he music of this forthcoming flick has climbed up the popularity charts really fast and is being touted for its sheer class and great melody which make us remember some of the evergreen tracks of Bollywood films due to its music arrangement and the quality of the poignant lyrics created by the maestro Gulzar.
Everyone who has associated with 'Yuvraaj' is hoping that the public embraces the film wholeheartedly just like the way they have given a fantastic response to the music.
After delivering three flop movies, the status of Subhash Ghai as a film maker of all seasons and whether the showman still retains that magic which made him one of the most successful movie makers of Bollywood in the 1980's and early 90's hangs on the box office fate of 'Yuvraaj'.
The birth of another ambitious project of Subhash Ghai also depends on the way the film lovers are going to respond to the grandeur and the story embedded around the concept of the value given to the relationships in the Indian culture.
The veteran film maker has already planned out a remake of his super hit movie 'Hero' which was released in 1983 and gave Jackie Shroff his first hit film.
This time he is planning to cast Salman Khan in the lead role which will be totally different from the style and persona of the protagonist of the original movie.
 ‘YUVVRAAJ’ Gallery

For the heroine's part Katrina Kaif is being considered.
According to a buzz, Salman Khan has already given the nod to act in the remake of 'Hero' as he had already gone through the script and liked it at the time when he was offered the lead role in 'Yuvraaj'.
But the hunk liked the story of the three brothers fighting for their dead father's wealth more than the remake and thus both Subhah Ghai and Salman decided to start out with 'Yuvraaj' first.
Lets just wait and see what is going to happen.

'Endhiran' shoots at 'Dasavatharam' locations

The Rajinikanth starrer 'Eindhiran' is being shot in certain locations where K. S. Ravikumar canned his 'Dasavatharam'.
At a grand set erected at Tandiarpet, director Shankar and Rajinikanth were spotted on Wednesday shooting some important sequences. However Aishwarya Rai was not present.
It was at the same venue that the tsunami scenes of 'Dasavatharam' were shot by by K S Ravikumar and Kamal Haasan, a few months ago.
The place has been guarded by security personnel. The details however have been kept under wraps.
Shankar had earlier filmed a song sequence in Peru followed by some European countries. The second schedule took place in Goa.
Produced by Ayngaran International, the movie would have musical score by A R Rahman.

Enthiran shooting at Tondiarpet

It is heard that Shankar is shooting Enthiran (also referred to as Endhiran and formerly known as Robot) in the same area of Tondiarpet where some ofDasavathaaram’s tsunami scenes were shot!
It is heard that Shankar also held a filming session at an obscure location off the East Coast Road near Covelong. Following this, the unit has moved on to Tondiarpet, where they have built a massive set to film scenes pertaining to Rajinikanth. Earlier, Shankar scrapped the third scheduleplanned to be held in Kulu Manali since he did not want to overburden Aishwarya Rai, who is also working in Mani Ratnam’s Ravana and Ashokavanam.
Wherever Shankar holds his shooting, he makes sure he cordons off the area with his tough security specialists to avoid any leakage of photographs or news. Every crew member is allowed entry only after being frisked by these security guards.

Rahman's rhapsodies for champions League T20

special anthem for the Champions League 2008 cricket tournament has been composed by talented maestro A R Rahman, who is known for his stellar work that transcends boundaries.  The musician often referred to as 'Mozart from Madras' has various hits under his belt including the popular international musical 'Bombay Dreams' besides scores of hit films songs in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
Different versions of the anthem will feature in the presentation including the title sequence, music video and other on-air elements during the transmission of the T20 matches. The tournament kicks off in the first week of December.
Sources say Rahman would be present at the inauguration ceremony and would be seen performing the anthem on the 3rd of December. Two Indian IPL teams Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings will compete in the tournament. The rest of the teams would be from South Africa, England and Australia.
Another jewel would be added soon to A. R. Rahman's crown in the form of the Commonwealth Games which is slated to be held in New Delhi early next year. The ace musician has been approached to compose the anthem song for the prestigious sporting event.

HIMESH TURNS DOWN A.R. RAHMAN?

Himesh Reshammiya once said that if he ever had to sing for a composer besides himself, it would only be A.R. Rahman. Interestingly enough, Rahman is also keen to have Himesh sing a certain composition that he feels Himesh would suit very well. He also admits that the song is for a very big actor and a big budget film.

However, in an interesting turn of events, Himesh has politely refused this offer because the song is not for one of the films he stars in. Himesh's new policy is that he only composes and sings for films that he acts in as well.

"I am a great fan of AR Rahman and his music. It’s a great honour for me to sing his composition, but as a policy decision, I only sing for myself onscreen. I don’t sing for any outside banner. I would instead request Rahman saab to give music for one of my films where I am the actor and singer. In fact, if he agrees, it will be a dream come true," he told Mumbai Mirror.

Whether Rahman will agree or not remains to be seen.

Yuvraaj strikes the right note

The film may not have released as yet, but the cast of the much awaited Salman-Katrina flick Yuvraaj is already celebrating.

The film's music is creating quite a buzz already. But there's one man who's going all out to ensure it's publicity galore for
Yuvraaj.

While it's a known fact that Salman Khan doesn't enjoy the whole publicity circus too much, but he seems to be taking it very seriously this time around.

"They called me for one promo and I ended up doing ten. Any publicity is good publicity for a film so lets see whether this publicity works in our favour or not," says Salman.

Salman has been involved in so much promotion that he now knows the journalists questions by heart.

But wherever Salman stands, there have to be controversial questions and this time is no exception with the media questioning Salman about the Bharat Shah 25 lakh rupee case and of course his relationship with Shahrukh.

"I have not done the case and I have no idea about it," quips Salman.

Aamir to groove to western beats in 'Ghajini'

Fans of Bollywood star Aamir Khan will be delighted to see the talented actor doing a completely western dance, a la “Koi Kahe kehta rahe” from the hit “Dil Chahta Hai”, in his forthcoming film “Ghajini”.
“It was a task making Aamir dance to a song which was supposed to have western moves. But I was highly impressed to see his classic dance skills,” choreographer Ahmed Khan told IANS.
“It is a great song. It will definitely hit the charts and this is also my best work ever. I'm sure it will be appreciated," he added.
Viewers have already tasted a sample of Aamir's work with the song “Guzarish...” from “Ghajini” and are appreciating it for its simple yet classy choreography shot in Namibia.
Aamir has teamed with south Indian actress Asin for the film.

GHAJINI: Sonu makes an exception for Rahman

When the first visuals of the melodious romantic track, "Guzarish", from the Aamir Khan–Asin starrer, GHAJINI were aired, almost everyone was unanimous that the melodious number was rendered by the king of love ballads, Sonu Nigam. To an extent they were right, and to an extent wrong! Right in the sense that the hauntingly beautiful humming in the beginning of the soundtrack is indeed by Sonu and wrong because Prasoon Joshi's lovely lyrics have been sung by Javed Ali of "Jashn–e–Bahara", (JODHAA–AKBAR) fame.

Sonu is there only as a guest vocalist, lending his unique appeal to the song which can be called its USP as well as its highlight and also forms the background music in the promos. The extremely choosy and busy Sonu has made this (a sort of singing guest appearance!) an exception for the music maestro A.R.Rahman, whom he shares a great bond with ever since his DIL SE days right up to YUVVRAAJ .

The much anticipated GHAJINI audio is expected to be released/launched today.

Salman turned Blonde

Subash Ghai had a tough time convincing Salman Khan to dye his hair blonde for his film., Yuvraaj. Ghai wanted Salman, who plays the title role to appear different.

According to sources” Ghai tried different looks for him but failed .Then suddenly, one day, a brain wave struck him and he asked Salman to go blonde.Initially, Salman laughed it off but when he realized that Ghai was serious he refused outright.

Ghai confirmed the news and said” I tried several looks for Salman, but every look I devised looked pale and ordinary than the others in comparision with his real life personality”.

Then how did the blonde look come about?Ghai revealed” It just happened in Austria on the first day of the shoot. I was still toying with the idea. I suddenly told Salman that I want him to go blonde.”

This shocked Salman but he noticed a frown on my face. On the other day of shoot, Ghai was surprised to see Salman not turning up for the shoot. Ghai suspected if he din’t like the idea of going blonde. But he had another shock “he suddenly walked in and I was dumb-struck, he had coloured his hair blonde and was smiling”,he said.

Salman, u sure love giving pleasant surprises!

ig release planned for 'Ghajini' starring Aamir Khan

Ghajini distributors, Studio 18, plan to play safe and rely on pre release hype to recover their investments in A.R. Murugadoss' Ghajini. The film will be released on Christmas Day countrywide with 1200 prints, a record that surpasses the 1050 print release of Singh Is Kingg.
"'Ghajini' will be the biggest and widest release ever, breaking the record set by 'Singh Is Kinng', which was also distributed by us," says Aman Gill, Director, Domestic Theatrical Distribution, Studio 18.
"With 'Singh Is Kinng', we set a precedent in the way the films are marketed and with 'Ghajini' we tend to go beyond that," adds Priti Shahani, Sr. V.P., Marketing & Distribution, Studio 18,
It is likely, the Studio 18 move is motivated as much by their confidence in the film as the jitters from the prevailing economic downturn. What is for sure is they are not banking on word of mouth publicity.
Attempts by Sawf News to get additional information about the release were spurned by the film's publicists - Spice PR. On an earlier occasion Spice PR's amusingly ill tempered publicist Shilpa Handa told us, "Sawf News is not important to us. It has no standing!"
We get it!

Ash covered with bed sheet in jungle

Aishwarya Bachchan and hubby Abhishek Bachchan are shooting deep inside the jungles of Kerala for their upcoming movie Ravan. Director Mani Ratnam is making sure that spy cameras do not get Aishwarya's images without his consent. Ash is being covered with bed sheets and umbrella while moving around in the set. The entire shooting location has been sealed from the outside world and no one other the cast and the crew is allowed to go in.

Aishwarya will be playing the character of Sita based on the mythological epic Ramayan. The movie which is expected to release in the middle of 2009 will also star Tamil actor Vikram and Ravi Kishan. Mani is taking extra care after Aishwarya and Rajinikanth's images from Shankar's movie Enthiran - The Robot leaked into the media. For now it seems Aishwarya has to get used to being covered in bed sheets all the time.

A.R. Rahman takes a break from films

It is now well known that A.R. Rahman will wield the music baton for composing the theme anthem of Champions League Twenty 20. It is to be noted that there will be no lyrics in the anthem and the ace music director will capture the emotions of cricket solely through his music.

At a time when expectations are rife
A.R. Rahman
over his composition, yet another news pours in that Rahman has been signed up to compose the anthem of the Commonwealth Games that is to be held in New Delhi in the year 2010. Well, this is good news indeed for the musician’s fans! Meanwhile, sources close to the director say that Rahman will take a short sabbatical where films and English dramas are concerned.

'Slumdog Millionaire's music isn't about India'

The Maharaja of modern Indian music, A R Rahman, has talent and vision the stuff of legend, a unanimously recognized musical genius that comes around once-a-generation.

So it was only a matter of time before Hollywood scooped him up and sampled his skills; and that's exactly what happened, first in Elizabeth: The Golden Age, the musical Bombay Dreams and now in Danny Boyle's mega-hyped, Mumbai-based Slumdog Millionaire.

As evidence of his rising celebrity, and to give you insight into the creative process behind the beats of Boyle's masterpiece, we point you to this interview from the prestigious pages of New York Magazine -- a lifestyle mag known especially for its fashion/celebrity/arts/gossip coverage, which always seems to be on the cutting edge of what's in, what's cool and what's happening.

So, given the elite-ness of the publication, this brief QnA session undoubtedly portends great things for Rahman's Hollywood future. And it appears a more comprehensive future is indeed likely.

In the interview, an effusive Rahman has nothing but kind words for director, calling him not only a fast worker and humorous, but also a 'good human being.'

Explaining the differences between working for Hollywood and Bollywood, Rahman says, 'There's not many cues in the film. Usually a big film has 130 cues. This had just seventeen or eighteen: the end credits, beginning credits, that stuff.'

He went on to say that, 'It took two months of planning, two weeks of completing. Usually it takes six months with the musical films I'm doing in India.'

But does the film's music, which is earning near-universal praise from critics, paint an accurate aural portrait of Mumbai? Rahman believes that, 'The soundtrack isn't about India or Indian culture. The story could happen anywhere: China, Brazil [Images], anywhere. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is on in every damn country.'

Yes, really and truly, it appears that the West has woken up to India. We have a feeling Hollywood isn't quite finished with the uber-talented Rahman. So stay tuned!

Endhiran - light at the end of the tunnel!

There had been a few jitters in the Endhiran camp following the global economic meltdown and its concomitant effect on Ayngaran. There had been doubts as to when the third schedule, slated to begin on the 16th of the month would actually take off. Now, new developments suggest that damage control has effectively set in and there might not be much to fear.
Endhiran

The management of Ayngaran has reportedly asked Shankar about the exact requirements of the schedule. This is being done as a measure to tighten purse strings to ensure that no problems are encountered during later stages of shooting. So, the third schedule, set in the pristine snow clad valleys of Kulu Manali is expected to take off on the 20th of this month, after a four day delay. Looking at how big the problems being faced by the industry in general are (Marmayogi being all but shelved being an indicator of the magnitude) this four day delay is not much.

Shankar plans to shoot a duet featuring Superstar and Aishwarya Rai in some never before tried locations in Kulu Manali, trust Shankar to surprise us. The visuals will definitely have the rich and grand stamp of the master director.

Rajini’s next for Tamil New Year

Soundarya Rajinikanth’s debut directorial and production venture under the now famous Ochre Studios banner, Sultan The Warrior is expected to release on Tamil New Year’s Day 2009. Starring Superstar Rajinikanth for the first time in an animated avatar, the movie is touted be a ground breaking effort in Indian
Sultan The Warrior
animation, one that can match international standards.

Sultan The Warrior has been in the making for over a year and a half now with Superstar giving small bits of his time in between his movie schedules. The animated Sultan is said to have been carefully created to resemble Superstar in every aspect. It would definitely have been a great challenge for the animation crew to go recreate the deft mannerisms and style, if any, in the movie. Sultan The Warrior also has music by A.R. Rahman.

Kamal's plans for Thalaivan Irukkiran

So what if Trisha and Shriya were straining their muscles to learn martial arts and the nuances of Tamil language for Marma Yogi? All this will not hopefully go down the drain now that Marma Yogi is abandoned. Kamal is planning to utilize the dates of these two pretty lasses for his next venture, Thalaivan Irukkiran. Since Sai Mira couldn't mobilize funds for
Kamal
Marma Yogi, the project is, in all probabilities, shelved.

Tentatively titled Thalaivan Irukkiran, the new movie is touted to be a racy adventure comedy with involvement from some of the bigwigs of the Indian film industry. The movie will star the likes of Mohanlal, Rishi Kapoor, and Venkatesh and scored by A R Rahman. Kamal directs Thalaivan Irukkiran while Gemini Film Circuit will produce this venture, to be shot in the USA and Switzerland. An official announcement in this regard is expected soon.

Aamir Khan annoys Asin

Aamir Khan is very possessive about his any new releases. He wants to surprise audience with innovative and never leaked out anything earlier. South sensation Asin is making her Bollywood debut with Ghajini and Aamir is maintaining a strict regime over her and restricted her from coming open to the media. Aamir's strict professionalism irks Asin as she wants to interact with the media and come open to the public to promote herself.

A source close to Aamir said, "Although Asin is extremely fond of Aamir, she had an argument with him recently. It all stemmed from the fact that Aamir has stopped her from interacting with the media, making public appearances or attending any events. Asin has been getting a lot of attention as she has a meaty role in Ghajini and she has also signed the ambitious London Dreams opposite Salman Khan. But Asin isn’t happy even though her career is going great guns as she had to turn down all offers of interacting with the media, a necessary step in self-promotion for any newcomer."

"Although she is part of some big banners now, very little is known about her. To make matters worse, the Ghajini team has also told Asin that she shouldn’t give her portfolio pictures to anyone. All this is making her feel restricted," added the source.

Aamir is a senior actor of Bollywood and Asin is a beginner, he is little stunned when the actress argued with him over the matter. Both had heated exchange of words.

Solid kick start for GHAJINI with 'Guzarish'

A.R. Rahman and Aamir Khan have done it again. Together they have ensured that GHAJINI gets instant eyeballs, courtesy the track 'Guzarish' which has been the chosen one to kick start the campaign for the film. Boasting of excellent melody, 'Guzarish' has been unleashed on all the music channels in a big way and the response has been super strong all over.

What is noticeable is a much younger looking Aamir Khan with the scar on the head gone missing. With a boyish charm to boast, Aamir Khan reminds one of the 90s when he appeared as a romantic lover boy on films like DIL, HUM HAI RAAHI PYAAR KE, DIL HAI KI MAANTA NAHI and many more. As he woos South sensation Asin in some of the most exquisite of locations (captured immensely well by DOP Ravi K. Chandran), Rahman's brilliant tune ensures that the song makes a place in every music lover's heart.

Also commendable is the fact that this time around, a tune by Rahman has turned out to be instantly catchy, something which is not the case with most of his tunes that require repeated hearing before making a long lasting impression.

One now looks forward to the release of GHAJINI soundtrack and hope that remainder of the songs in the album are also as good as 'Guzarish', if not better. Now if that indeed turns out to be the case then one can be rest assured that Aamir would indeed have a musical HIT to his name much before the film hits the screen this Christmas.

Katrina Kaif, the golden bird of Bollywood at present has really turned the fortunes of many filmmakers and producers. And now the lady is yet again ready with her upcoming release ‘Yuvraaj’ which is a Subhash Ghai directorial venture.

Kamal's Marmayogi postponed!

Kamal Hassan's magnum opus Marmayogi has been temporarily shelved even before the shooting of the film started.
The shooting of the much-hyped Marmayogi was to start this month. Sources in Chennai says that the shooting was shelved as the producers felt that the budget of this movie is going to cross the estimated amount. Remember that it was Kamal’s dream project with 5 heroines including big names like Hema Malini, Trisha and Shriya.
As the producers Pyramid Saimira backed out now, Kamal Hassan has decided to suspend the shooting. The market buzz is that the producers felt that the film with a budget of Rs 100 to 120 crores is too much because a Kamal Hassan's movie as hero doesn’t have that much of market thoughMarmayogi is going to be a trilingual movie.
Kamal Hassan was supposed to act and direct this movie and had Venkatesh and Mumaith from Telugu too in pivotal roles. With Marmayogishooting being called off, Venkatesh will start shooting for his next filmKrishnam Vande Jagadgurum.
One person who will be badly affected by this cancellation is Trisha because she said 'No' to many other projects in Telugu and Tamil because ofMarmayogi

Marma Yogi, Endhiran & the Global economic crisis

On Kamal Haasan’s birthday, the news that we are receiving about Marma Yogi is not a cause for any celebrations. Credible sources have revealed that Marma Yogi might be neck deep in trouble, to the point of being indefinitely postponed or infinitely worse, be dropped. The reason is quite simple: the global economic crisis. Many were deceived
Marma Yogi & Endhiran
into thinking that the global meltdown was not indeed global and that India was insulated. Now we have proof that there are problems everywhere. Pyramid Saimira is reportedly wallowing and the processes of Marma Yogi have been temporarily held up.

But it is not only the global economic crash that is behind Marma Yogi’s predicament. Kuselan is also being seen as a key factor. As everyone knows, the losses incurred by Pyramid Saimira due to the Kuselan debacle were huge and to top it all, they were even forced to refund distributors.
It is in this scenario that SUN Pictures made an entry showing some interest. A team was entrusted with the responsibility of making a thorough research of all resources that would have to go into Marma Yogi. The report presented said that even the pre-production activities of the movie would cost quite a sum which would make the project difficult to execute; SUN Pictures exit; enter OCHER Studios and Warner Brothers.
Talks are doing the rounds that Soundarya Rajnikanth has shown enough interest in Marma Yogi. It is believed that Warner Brothers are ready to go by her word and enter the movie. But conversations are still at a very primary stage and nothing is official or confirmed.
To add to speculations, it has come to light that Rajkamal films have registered the title ‘Thalaivan Irukkiran’. Further enquiry revealed that Rajkamal indeed intend to go ahead with such a movie without much delay. However, other details were not available.
From Marma Yogi to Endhiran. The global meltdown has not spared this one too. It has been reported that the London based Ayngaran Groups funds might be stuck in the European markets that is going through a liquidity crunch at present. With the third schedule of Endhiran slated to begin some time next week, the required funds are yet to arrive and London Karunas is reported to have left for London for the same purpose. Again, the unexpectedly poor show of Deepavali releases Aegan (own production) and Seval (outright purchase) seems to have not done them any favor.
However, the troubles with Endhiran are not as serious as ones with Marma Yogi. If, Ayngaran is able to accumulate the funds in time, the shooting will proceed as planned. Otherwise, the worst scenario we are looking at is a delay which is not much of an issue, looking at what Marma Yogi is facing. But with dates being bought, a delay might make schedules go haywire, especially with Aishwarya Rai who also has Ravana.
We just hope that all troubles settle down at the earliest.

Kamal’s ‘Marmayogi’ to start rolling from Nov 10

After a sensational hit like ‘Dasavataram’, Kamal Hassan is taking yet another prestigious project in his own direction. The story sittings for the film are in progress for the past several months. Kamal Hassan is in search of set properties, busy in selection of locations for the past some time and he had also grew beard exclusively for the film. It is well aware that Kamal Hassan always tries to keep something special in each of his film. He keeps his image aside when it comes to acting and he lives for films alone. With ‘Marmayogi’ Kamal is planning to one step ahead and is striving hard to make it a big hit too. In the process, he made several rehearsals with the artistes who are going to play in the film in different characters. Trisha is playing one of the heroines. The film has a typical story. It will not have any specific importance to a particular character and all the roles are equally important. This great film is most likely to start rolling formally from November 10 and efforts are being made in this regard.

Salman and Katrina, both sizzles in Yuvraaj

Another one bites the dust, or so it seems. First it was Sangeeta Bijlani, then Somy Ali, followed by Aishwarya Rai, and now Katrina Kaif. Once again, Salman Khan is in love.

Salman was quite low-low after his break up with Aishwarya Rai, until he found Katrina Kaif. After a series of hook up and break up, it is but natural of him to be really protective about his relation with Katrina.
Salman Khan & Katrina

In last five years, the pair has seen many ups and downs in their relationship but never failed to stand by one another's side. The best part of their relationship is, if they fight regarding some issue, the other moment they are together. Though they have done couple of films together but never exhibited their off-screen love on-screen, for promoting any of the films. They always try to cover up their liking for each other, from this precarious world where relationships are made to be broken.

Now we are lucky to see their fondness, closeness, love and attraction for one another in Subhash Ghai's Yuvraaj. The duo is at their romantic heights and both sizzles in Yuvraaj.

Vikram, Ash, and Prabhu do their bit for Mani

Mani's Ravan is up and running and looks like the actors are going through makeovers of sorts to fit into the roles Mani crafted for them. Vikram attended the one-day fast organized by Nadigar Sangam recently in his skull cap suggesting that his hairstyle has undergone a drastic change and that he is keeping it away from the prying eyes
Vikram
of the media. Our guess is that Vikram is going in for the close-cut look, while enacting the legendary evil man Ravan.

Prabhu, on the other hand, is seen with thick beard in the same event. It could be remembered that Mani has roped in Prabhu for Ravana after their association in Agni Natchatrham. We also hear Ash is playing an accomplished Karnatic singer and is stretching her vocal chords in the name of practice.

If sources are to be believed, for
Endhiran
Endhiran, Shankar is planning to order life size Robot toys – inflated and other types. Though the plan is only in its initial stages, if it materializes Chennai will be lucky enough to witness weird and quirky looking Robots floating around in the skyline or inviting the guests who walk down the red carpet on Endhiran's premiere.

Asin not in 'Marma Yogi'

 Asin Gallery

Denying all the speculations which were saying that Asin would once again share the screen with Kamal Haasan for a cameo role in 'Marma Yogi', the actress has now confirmed that there is no fact in it.
The talented actress who has reached incredible heights in her career co-stars with Salman khan and Ajay Devgan in 'London Dreams' and she has been back to Mumbai recently after completing the shoot for the film for 45 days in London and Paris.
Asin's next venture includes 'The 19th step', produced by Walt Disney, which would have Kamal Haasan and acclaimed Japanese actor Tadanobu. This multi-lingual film which is to be made in Tamil, English and Japanese will be directed by Bharat Bala who has made hundreds of classic commercials and also has directed acclaimed music videos including 'Vande Mataram' and 'Pray for me brother' of Maestro A.R.Rahman.
'The 19th step' will be the first Indian film on martial arts; it speaks about 'Kalaripayattu', which is claimed to be the source of all Oriental martial art forms.
And what is foremost interesting is Asin plays the role of a Japanese princess that can even turn other actresses green with envy.
