Kamal ki cast!

Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam may not have done too well as far as box-office collections are concerned, but this has not dampened the superstar’s spirit.

He is ready with his next film Marmayogi that goes on the floors in August, a reliable source says.

To be shot in Hyderabad, Marmayogi is a period drama set in the 17th century. The film will see Kamal fighting adversity that poses a threat to him and the people around him. The film will again be a mega budget venture with lavish sets and costumes.

The most important news about this film is that Kamal has approached Hema Malini and Kajol to star in the drama. He has apparently already signed Shriya Saran.

“Kamal wants to start off with Marmayogi at the earliest. We are starting the shooting schedule latest by August,” the insider says. “It is going to be a feast for the eyes as huge amounts of money will be spent on the visual effects as in Dasavatharam.”

About the ensemble cast the source says, “Kajol may star opposite Kamal if things work out. Hema will be seen in a very different role in this film.”

Rumours suggest that the filmmakers of Marmayogi are also planning a grand function when the film hits the floors in August. Significant delegates of the Indian film fraternity will be called in to attend the event.
